MOUNT VERNON — Knox County Sheriff’s deputies filed these reports after their respective shifts.
MAY 16
— A deputy was dispatched to an injured deer on Vanatta Road. The deputy arrived on scene and dispatched the injured deer with their office issued handgun.
— Deputies were dispatched to a civil matter at a residence on Old Delaware Road in Mount Vernon, Ohio. Deputies arrived on scene and gave advice reference the shared property dispute. Deputies issued a warning to both parties on their conduct. Shortly after deputies cleared the scene they were called back because of a verbal altercation. Deputies issued both parties minor misdemeanor citations for Disorderly Conduct.
— A deputy was advised of a theft complaint and the complainant was on the phone. Dispatch transferred the complainant to the deputy where contact was made.
