Commander William (Bill) Conrad Brunka, U.S. Naval Flight Officer retired, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 3rd in Allemans Du Dropt, France. Bill was a graduate of Carthage College. He served as a Vice President at First Knox National Bank, retiring in 2005. He was active in the Mt. Vernon community, serving as Kiwanis Treasurer for 22 years, and other organizations.
Bill loved traveling, food and wine and was active in a number of sports. Family was most important to Bill. He is survived by his wife Janet, and their two sons Scott (Lebanon, Ohio) and Jeff (Los Angeles, California), and their grandchildren Benjamin, Jacob, Will, and Emilie. He is also survived by his sister Gretchen Blocker in Oregon.

Sorry to hear this. Bill was president of the Tau Sigs when I pledged. He graduated that spring so I did not know him well, but I admired him greatly.
