Larry Eugene Wolfe, age 72, of Mount Vernon passed away on Friday, April 7, 2023, at the Knox Community Hospital.
He was born on September 7, 1950, in Mount Vernon to the late Glenn and Dorothy (Storts) Wolfe. Larry was employed and retired from Rolls Royce. He enjoyed cars, motorcycles, airplanes, anything with an engine. He would sit and talk with you for hours. Larry especially enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson and has visited almost every state on two wheels. He didn’t know a stranger and was willing to help anyone. Larry will be dearly missed by his family and all of his friends, especially his three closest friends Ned, Mike and Jeff.
He is survived by his nephew Scott (Christine Barrett) Wolfe; his niece Mindi Strouse; great nieces, Mikhayla (Mark) Lewis, Gab Wolfe; great nephews, Zack (Jessi Dunlap) Wolfe, Rylynd (Lizzie) Jewett, Tristyn Strouse; great-great niece Skyler Jewett; great-great nephews, Hunter Jewett, Zander Jewett, Kayden Jewett, Waylon Jewett; and his sister-in-law Mary Wolfe.
In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his brother David Wolfe.
Friends may call on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home from 11am-1pm. A service will follow, at the funeral home, beginning at 1pm with Pastor Marvin Haught officiating. Burial will take place in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Harley Davidson Foundation.
