MOUNT VERNON — Knox County Sheriff’s deputies filed these reports after their respective shifts.
FEB. 27
— Caller reported her daughter was threatened on the school bus on Friday, February 24, 2023 on the ride home from school. A report is being done for documentation.
— Deputies were dispatched to take a employment fraud report on East Hight St. The complainant said that unemployment was filed in her name by and unknown person.
— Deputies were dispatched to take a fraud report on Upper Gilchrist Rd. Complainant advised that an unknown person filed for unemployment in their name.
FEB. 28
— Dispatch advised a deputy a female wanted to speak with them by phone about a suspicious vehicle. The deputy spoke with the complainant and advise was given. The complainant came to the Sheriff’s Office to pick up a stalking log to further document any incidents.
— A deputy was dispatched to a residence on Greenfield Ct. in Howard. Dispatch advised the deputy the complainant advised they had captured a sick raccoon and needed it to be dispatched. Dispatched contacted ODNR who advised they would not respond. A deputy arrived on scene and dispatched the raccoon with their office issued handgun.
— The complainant came to the Sheriff’s Office to report that person(s) unknown attempted to fraud him out of money.
— A deputy was dispatched to Kenyon College Campus Safety for found drug paraphernalia. The deputy responded and made contact with the complainant.
— A deputy was dispatched to 80 Miller St on a Disturbance taking place where a Male subject had attacked a female subject at the residential facility.
