Tuesday’s outing turned into an endurance test that Springfield passed in a 59-52 victory at Madison Comprehensive’s expense for an Ohio boys basketball victory on Feb. 21.

The start wasn’t the problem for Madison Comprehensive, as it began with a 15-0 edge over Springfield through the end of the first quarter.

The Rams took a 25-23 lead over the Blue Devils heading to the intermission locker room.

Springfield broke in front at the beginning of the final quarter with a 41-39 lead over Madison Comprehensive.

There was no room for doubt as the Blue Devils added to their advantage with an 18-13 margin in the closing period.
