Curtis Neal Tipton, age 80, of Clermont, Florida, and Mount Vernon, Ohio, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, February 13, 2023. He was born on September 30, 1942, in Columbus, Ohio, the son of Cecil and Alberta (McNeal) Tipton. Curt worked as a self-employed contractor and was the former owner of T-Shirt Express. He was an active member of Colonial City Baptist Church. Curt loved camping and fishing and going to flea markets with his wife. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend.
Curt is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of nearly 59 years, Sherry; two sons, Trent (Kristi) Tipton of Mount Vernon and Travis (Mary) Tipton of Mount Vernon, a daughter, Tara (Gabe) Christopher of Mount Vernon, seven grandchildren, Max (Mickie) Tipton, Jerica (Ryan) Horn, Brooklyn (Micah Peters) Tipton, Halie (Jeremy) Clinedinst, Kyle Tipton, Kaylin Tipton and Everly Christopher, eight great grandchildren, Averie, Elliott, Xavier, Ryan, Cyrus, Benjamin, Raygan and Kinsley.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a son Troy Tipton and a sister, Carol Buettner.
The Family will hold a private service. The Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home of Mount Vernon is honored to serve the family of Curtis Neal Tipton.
