Marjorie “Marge” Gantt, age 75, of Gambier, passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at Knox Community Hospital following an extended illness.
She was born on July 19, 1947, in Mount Vernon to the late Robert W. and Winifred L. (Horn) Hall.
Marge was a member of First Baptist Church and was the owner of Gantt Homes.
She is survived by her five children, Deborah Gantt of Centerville, Doug Gantt of Chillicothe, Chris Gantt of Gambier, Angela (Randy) Hite of Fredericktown, and Robbie (Lauren) Gantt of Westfield, IN; a sister, Maxine Smith; 14 grandchildren, Dani Gschwender, Amber Gantt, Britney (Jon) Lyons, Aaron (Tasha) Gantt, Indy Gantt, Parker Gantt, Abby Gantt, Raelyn Hite, Cody, Josh, Karli Galbraith, Homer Gantt, Frederick Bean Gantt and Herbie Gantt; 6 great-grandchildren.
Marge was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Gantt in 2019; and a sister, Carol Link.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2023, from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at Snyder Funeral Home – Lasater Chapel, 11337 Upper Gilchrist Rd. in Mount Vernon. Funeral services will be on Wednesday – 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church, 303 South Edgewood Dr., Mount Vernon. Burial will follow in Union Grove Cemetery.
