Timothy M. Belcher, age 59, of Mount Vernon, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 4, 2023, at his residence. He was born on December 31, 1963 in Mount Vernon, Ohio, the son of Joseph Belcher and Mary Jo (Dignam) Belcher. Tim was a 1982 graduate of Mount Vernon High School and attended Porterville College and Oceanside Community College in California. He had been employed with J. B. Webb of Mount Vernon.
Tim was a former member of the Eagles of Mount Vernon and enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting and cheering for The Ohio State University sports teams. He was also very active with his boys in their younger years, coaching baseball and soccer and encouraging them during their high school wrestling careers.
He is survived by his boys, Ryan Belcher and Darin (Aleena Mitchell) Belcher, both of Mount Vernon, a granddaughter, Bentlee Belcher, brothers, Sean Belcher of Porterville, California, Chris (Michelle) Belcher of Mount Vernon, and Clayton (Roxanne) Dignam of Porterville, California, sisters, Kelly Lowe of Porterville, California, Samantha Belcher of Marion and Melinda Russell of Marion, sister-in-law, Peggy Belcher, mother of his children, Penny Warner, numerous nieces and nephews and his canine companion Sadie.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Andy Belcher.
The family will hold a Celebration of Life service at a later date and will be announced. The Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home of Mount Vernon, Ohio is honored to serve the family of Timothy M. Belcher.
