FREDERICKTOWN — The Fredericktown FFA Chapter recently hosted the Ohio FFA President, Aubrey Schwartz.

Schwartz is one of 11 State FFA Officers and is serving the association as she leads the 326 chapters with over 27,000 members across the state. She is a graduate of Miami Trace / Great Oaks CTC High School and is currently an Agricultural Education major at Wilmington College.

During the school day, Miss Schwartz used a variety of hands-on leadership workshops to challenge Fredericktown Agricultural Education students to find their potential for success and work towards enhancing their community service, leadership and personal growth.

The chapter members attended an informal luncheon with Schwartz during the high school lunch to discuss FFA chapter activities across the state and opportunities available to our FFA members and to hear about her recent trip to Costa Rica.

The FFA Chapter would like to thank the Ohio FFA Association and Aubrey Schwartz for being committed to developing students’ premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.

The FFA is a dynamic youth organization within Agricultural Education that changes lives and prepares students for premier leadership, personal growth and career success. Although FFA was created in 1928 as Future Farmers of America, the name was changed in 1988 to the National FFA Organization to represent the growing diversity of agriculture.

Today, more than half a million student members nationwide are engaged in a wide range of agricultural education activities, leading to over 300 career opportunities in the food, fiber and natural resources industry. Student success remains the primary mission of FFA.
