MOUNT VERNON — Knox County Sheriff’s deputies filed these reports after their respective shifts.

DEC. 27

— Deputies responded to a disturbance on Broadway St in Mount Vernon. Deputies separated both parties for the night and a report was filed for documentation.

DEC. 28

— Deputies were dispatched to Kenyon College on a suspicious vehicle suspected of stealing bicycle’s on the campus. Kenyon Campus Safety called in stating that they observed a Blue Chevy Truck driving on campus and appeared to have two bicycles in the bed of the truck. Deputies were able to locate the vehicle driving on New Gambier Road and initiated a traffic stop. Deputies then had the driver return the bicycle’s to Kenyon Campus Safety to hold on to until a owner can be located. The driver of the vehicle was then trespassed from Kenyon College Property and a report was written.

— Caller reported someone opened unemployment in her name. A report is being done for documentation.

DEC. 29

— Deputy Wise conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle after Detectives witnessed multiple traffic violations. A report will be made to document the incident.

— Deputies were dispatched to Howard on a non injury crash. Complainant stated a truck had slid past the stop sign and into his yard.

— A complainant called to report a suspicious vehicle at a neighbor’s residence which was unoccupied/vacant, which has had previous thefts and break-ins. Deputies responded and made contact with the vehicle and multiple occupants. A report was completed for documentation.

— The Complainant/Victim advised that sometime between 1900 hrs on 12/28/22 and 0725 hrs on 12/29/22 unknown person(s) entered her unlocked vehicle and removed loose change and some junk mail.
