MOUNT VERNON — A Knox Pages reader asked us about a crash that took place on Thursday, Dec. 1 at Knox Community Hospital Urgent Care.

According to authorities, a silver minivan crashed into a Knox Community Hospital Urgent Care.

The facility, located on Coshocton Avenue, was damaged when a silver 2012 Dodge Caravan entered through a front window opposite of the registration desk.

No one was injured, including the driver, staff and patients, according to a Knox Community Hospital public statement.

The driver was attempting to park her vehicle and mistook the break pedal for gas pedal, Mount Vernon Police Chief Robert Morgan said.

The statement also said all patients who were already present at that time of the crash were served before the facility closed for the rest of the evening. The hospital’s building services team immediately started the cleaning process and police were immediately called to the scene.

No other details are available regarding the incident at this time.
