LIBERTY TOWNSHIP — An Ashley man was killed Sunday night after a one-vehicle crash in Liberty Township, according to the Delaware Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Patrick A. Petrime, 55, of Ashley, was pronounced dead at the scene, the Patrol stated.
The incident took place at approximately 7:08 p.m. on Liberty Road north of Home Road, in Liberty Township of Delaware County.
The Patro reported that Petrime was operating a blue 1975 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray northbound on Liberty Road when it traveled off the right side of the roadway. The vehicle continued striking a ditch and a guardrail.
Petrime was not wearing his safety belt. Alcohol is not a suspected factor for the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted at the scene by Liberty Township Fire, Delaware County EMS, Delaware County Sheriff’s Office, and The Delaware County Engineers Office.
