MOUNT VERNON — The Knox County Sheriff’s Office handled these calls on Wednesday, Aug. 24.
— On Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2022 a deputy was dispatched to Kenyon College on a possible theft involving stolen laundry. The deputy was able to make contact with both victims and collected written statements for a report to be written.
— On Aug. 24, 2022 Steven Miller Jr., who had an active warrant, was observed riding a motorcycle on Highland Hills Dr. A traffic stop was attempted but the Steven continued traveling despite the emergency lights and siren. He finally came to a stop at his mother’s house and was arrested. The motorcycle Steven was riding was impounded. He was then transported to the Knox County Jail.
— On Aug. 24, a deputy was advised of a harassment complaint from Chase Ave in Gambier. Dispatch transferred the caller to a deputy by phone and he made contact with the complainant.
