MOUNT VERNON — A new Tim Horton’s is coming to replace Mister Pizza on Newark Road with an expected opening date of October or early November.

The coffee and donut shop, located at 110 Newark Road, will have a new drive-thru only concept, said Jen Francis, Director of Company Development at Rensko Holdings, who operates at Next Level Restaurant Brands.

The land was purchased Jan. 14, 2022 for $330,000, according to Knox County Auditor’s website. It’s owned by SRR Properties Two LLC located at Williamsville, New York.

Hanlin Rainaldi Construction, based in Columbus, is leading the project.

“We think this is a great spot to bring this new Tim Horton’s building model to Mount Vernon — and liked the location in relation to where our other store is located on Coshocton Avenue,” Francis said via email.

The Newark Road location will have the same coffee- and espresso-based beverages including hot and iced coffee and lattes, iced capps, tea, refreshers and more, Francis said, adding it will offer new draft and nitro cold brew coffee options.

A mobile order walk-up window will also be at the shop.

“While we won’t have any inside seating available, we will have patio seating for customers that would like to stick around during nice weather,” Francis said via email.

The plan for now is to have the store run from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.
