Crash Reports

June 29

  • Sebastien Trey Copley was traveling north on S. Edgewood Rd. Thomas V. Woosley was stopped northbound on S. Edgewood Rd. at E. Gambier St. at the red traffic signal. Copley fell asleep and failing to see Woosley stopped struck him in the rear end. Copley was cited for full time and attention.
  • An unknown driver, Jacob E. Kean, and Ronald E. Houck were traveling east on Coshocton Ave. Kean and Houck both stated they were slowing down for traffic. The unknown driver hit the rear of Kean pushing him into the rear-end of Houck. The unknown driver left the area. She was described as a female driving a silver Honda CRV. She was last observed headed east on Coshocton Ave.

June 30

  • Holly Michelle Strunk was traveling along Phillips Dr. while intoxicated. Strunk failed to control his vehicle, ran off the roadway, and struck a tree. She then left the scene. Strunk was cited for OVI – Under The Influence.

July 1

  • Taylor A. Snow was traveling east on W. Parrott St. Snow stopped at the marked stop bar for the red traffic light signal. Snow proceeded to turn right on red. The railroad crossing arm abruptly dropped from an upright position and struck Snow’s vehicle on the top and right side passenger door.
  • Owen A. Williams was facing south leaving the Wal-Mart fuel station. Ronald D. Ogle was facing east on Coshocton Ave. Ogle turned into the Wal-Mart fuel station as Williams was turning left out of the fuel station. Williams then hit Ogle in the driver rear corner. Williams was cited for an improper left turn at an intersection.
  • Kathy R. Cook was traveling north on N. Gay St. Cook struck a vehicle owned by Denny L. Miller which was legally parked. Cook then continued forward and struck a vehicle owned by Patrick R. Meissner which was also legally parked. Cook then turned westbound on Warden St. and fled the scene.

July 2

  • Charles Ray Shay was following Charles T. Turner and both were turning left from W. Chestnut St. onto N. Mulberry St. Turner stopped and Shay rear-ended Turner. Shay was cited for Assured Clear Distance Ahead.

Incident Reports

June 29

  • Units responded to a traffic complaint at Taylor Rd. and Follin Ave.
  • Units were dispatched to the 300 block of E. Ohio Ave. in reference to a disturbance. A male was issued a summons-in-lieu of arrest for aggravated menacing.

June 30

  • A business on W. High St. reported a shoplifting that involved a female. She was found to have taken merchandise without paying for it.
  • A male who lives on N. Gay St. reported a theft from his residence. There are no suspects at this time.

July 1

  • An officer was checking the area of 175 S. Norton St. (Ariel Foundation Park) and made contact with an individual he determined was under the influence of alcohol and under the age of 21. Charges were filed.
  • An officer responded to the Super 8 Motel for a parking complaint. The vehicle was impounded and towed. No charges were filed and the investigation has been closed.

July 2

  • An officer observed an individual trespassing on the railroad tracks behind 311 S. Mechanic St. The subject was arrested and transported to jail.
  • Units were dispatched to Lowe’s for vandalism to a vehicle.
  • Units responded to the 600 block of W. Gambier St. to investigate a complaint involving a juvenile. A report was taken to send to the City Prosecutor.

July 3

  • An officer responded to Martinsburg Rd. in reference to a suspicious person. The subject was not located.

July 4

  • An officer was dispatched to the Town Center on W. High St. for a theft.
  • Officers responded to W. Curtis St. for a report of Domestic Violence. When officers arrived they determined Noah Skaggs was the aggressor and arrested him for Domestic Violence. Skaggs was transported to jail.
  • Units responded to Wal-Mart on Coshocton Ave. for a shoplifting by a female suspect. The female was located, given a summons, and released.
