If Knox Area Transit receives a grant from the Ohio Department of Transportation, 1.5 to 2 acres at 601 W. Chestnut St. could become the future site of a vehicle maintenance building and bus storage area.

The Knox County Land Bank bought the parcel on the left, 503 W. High St., in June 2021, and plans to buy the parcel on the right, 7 and 9 N. Norton St. on Jan. 30, 2022. The land bank will demolish all three structures. The two parcels could become the future site of a new operations center for Knox Area Transit.
