Ashland climbs out of hole to beat Mount Vernon 35-17

Ashland fell behind early but rebounded in the first quarter of a 35-17 win over Mount Vernon during this Ohio football game.

Ashland darted in front of the Yellow Jackets 28-15 going into the fourth quarter.

Ashland’s offense jumped to a 22-15 lead over Mount Vernon at the intermission.

The Yellow Jackets started on steady ground by forging a 15-7 lead over the Arrows at the end of the first quarter.

East Knox pounces on Conotton Valley

East Knox fought back from an early deficit to defeat Conotton Valley 41-16 on Friday night in a matchup that was made midway through the week.

The Bulldogs opened with a 7-0 first-quarter advantage, but the Rockets moved in front 8-7 in the second period. But EK responded with a pair of TDs before the half to own a 21-8 bulge at intermission.

East Knox stretched the margin to 35-8 heading to the final 12 minutes.

The Bulldogs improved to 4-1 overall and will travel to Mount Gilead next week.

Northmor bounces Danville

Northmor squeezed out a tough, 14-7 victory at Danville in Friday night’s Ohio high school football action.

The Blue Devils are 2-3 overall, 1-1 in the league. Danville returns to action next week at Highland.

The Knights remain perfect this season at 5-0. Northmor hosts Fredericktown next week.

Fredericktown edges Mount Gilead for road win

Fredericktown nudged ahead of Mount Gilead 30-24 on Friday night to collect a KMAC road victory.

The Freddies improved to 3-2 overall, 1-1 in the conference. Fredericktown is at Northmor next week.

Mount Gilead falls to 2-3, 0-2. The Indians host East Knox next week.

Clear Fork upends River Valley with convincing victory

Bellville Clear Fork raced to a big lead and never looked back in a 41-13 win over Caledonia River Valley during this Ohio high school football game.

The Colts registered a 21-6 advantage at halftime over the Vikings.

The first quarter gave Bellville Clear Fork a 14-0 lead over Caledonia River Valley.

Byesville Meadowbrook overcomes Warsaw River View in competitive affair 42-34

Early action on the scoreboard pushed Byesville Meadowbrook to the front, and it stayed there to fend off Warsaw River View 42-34 in an Ohio high school football matchup.

Byesville Meadowbrook broke in front at the beginning of the fourth quarter with a 34-28 lead over Warsaw River View.

The Black Bears got the better of the action throughout the first half, owning a 22-20 margin over the Colts at halftime.

Neither team dominated early as the two squads struggled to a 6-6 tie through the first quarter.

Winning recipe: Pickerington Central broils Hilliard Bradley 38-21

Pickerington Central notched a win on the victory belt after defeating Hilliard Bradley 38-21 in an Ohio high school football matchup.

Nothing was decided in the third quarter, with Pickerington Central and Hilliard Bradley locked in a 21-21 stalemate.

A halftime tie at 14-14 allowed for a respite as both teams looked to regroup in the locker room.

Ruh-Roh, Dublin Jerome shuts down Grove City 35-7

Dublin Jerome’s all-around dominance took the form of a rollercoaster and rolled downhill on Grove City during a 35-7 blowout in Ohio high school football action on Friday night.

Dublin Jerome authored an impenetrable defensive effort to blank Grove City in the final quarter.

Dublin Jerome’s domination showed as it carried a 35-7 lead into the fourth quarter.

New Albany blanks Newark in shutout performance 77-0
