Sen. wants Biden to prove how he’s going to get people out of Afghanistan now that we’re out. Of course it will be hard and require some delicate negotiations.
Meanwhile, what is he doing to ensure those responsible for the attack on the Capitol and our democracy are held accountable? Republicans would rather we didn’t know because some mud might show up on them.
How can we accept a president sending an angry mob after Vice President Pence for doing his job in certifying the fair election, have them show up screaming for Pence and carrying a noose, coming close to catching Pence and his family but for the smart thinking of a policeman who diverted the mob, and now with the knowledge that Pence was even afraid of his secret service? What about the calls for Nancy’s death, the ransacking of her office, the screams of “F*** the police, and the scenes we saw of the mob bashing the police and trying to break into the room where Senators were about to vote? A clear insurrection.
We know the former president had slowed down the issuing of visas because Miller didn’t want any more brown people in our country. Of course, there were difficulties. Look at all the ways Biden was trying to help our country at the same time he was facing the usual McConnell stone wall and a precipitous crash of the government in Afghanistan. Look at the amazing evacuation he did make of thousands of people. Fair people might cut him some slack. Not the biased Portman. Shame on him.
