MOUNT VERNON – Judge John Thatcher found three guilty after arraignments and hearings were held at the Mount Municipal Court on May 24.

Sara Smith, 40 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Operating a Vehicle with Fictitious Plates. The Court sentenced her to serve time in jail, with credit for time served.

Jacob Boucher, 42 of Howard, was found guilty of Operating a Vehicle While Under the Influence and Domestic Violence. The Court sentenced him to pay a $500 fine, serve 180 days in jail, with 170 days suspended, and placed him on two years of community control with the following condition: complete a drug and alcohol assessment as soon as is practicable for the OVI charge and to serve 30 days in jail, with 20 days suspended, and complete the Court’s Hands Down program for the Domestic Violence charge.

John Graves, 63 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Having Physical Control Over a Vehicle While Under the Influence. The Court sentenced him to pay a $500 fine, serve 180 days in jail, with 177 days suspended, and placed him on two years of community control with the following condition: attend and complete a 72-hour driver intervention program.

Assistant Director of Law Justin Mackin represented the Village of Danville in the Smith case. Assistant Director of Law Brittany Whitney represented the City of Mount Vernon and the State of Ohio in the remaining cases.

Damien Miracle, 40 of Cardington, was found guilty of Driving Under an FRA Suspension and Speeding. The Court sentenced him to pay a $200 fine for the DUS charge and a $35 fine for Speeding.

Brandon Arlow, 22 of Atlanta, Georgia, was found guilty of Speeding in a School Zone. The Court sentenced him to pay a $45 fine.

Justin Bennett, 41 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Disorderly Conduct. The Court sentenced him to pay a $150 fine.

Jerry Tinsley, Jr., 29 of Danville, was found guilty of Operating a Vehicle While Under the Influence of a Drug of Abuse. The Court sentenced him to pay a $500 fine, serve 180 days in jail, with 177 days suspended, placed him on two years of community control with the following condition: attend and complete a 72-hour driver intervention, and suspended his operator’s license for one year.

Justin Robbins, 28 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Operating a Vehicle While Under the Influence of Alcohol. The Court sentenced him to pay a $700 fine, serve 180 days in jail, with 170 days suspended, placed him on two years of community control with the following condition: complete a drug and alcohol assessment as soon as is practicable, and suspended his operator’s license for two years.

Timothy Wine, 46 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Operating a Vehicle While Under the Influence of Alcohol and/or a Drug of Abuse. The Court sentenced him to pay a $1,000 fine, serve 365 days in jail, with 305 days suspended, placed him on five years of community control with the following condition: complete an intensive outpatient alcohol treatment program, and suspended his operator’s license for three years.

Jimmy Daniel, 37 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Operating a Vehicle While Under the Influence of Alcohol. The Court sentenced him to pay a $500 fine, serve 180 days in jail, with 174 days suspended, placed him on two years of community control with the following condition: attend and complete a 72-hour driver intervention program, and suspended his operator’s license for one year.

The Court sentenced him to pay a $500 fine, serve 180 days in jail, with 177 days suspended, placed him on two years of community control with the following condition: attend and complete a 72-hour driver intervention program, and suspended his operator’s license for one year.

Assistant Director of Law Justin Mackin represented the State of Ohio in the Miracle and Arlow cases. Director of Law Rob Broeren represented the City of Mount Vernon and the State of Ohio in the remaining cases.

Theresa Cupps, 33 of Fredericktown, was found guilty of Wrongful Entrustment of a Motor Vehicle. The Court sentenced her to pay a $100.00 fine.

Assistant Director of Law Justin Mackin represented the City of Mount Vernon in this case.
