MOUNT VERNON – The Knox County Convention and Visitors Bureau has announced the launch of The Knox County Park District’s 2021 GeoTrail.
The Knox County Park District also introduced its new partners for this year’s GeoTrail; Almost Famous Sweets and Soda, The Mount Vernon Inn, The Makery, and Main Street Makers Market.
“With the new trail we are designing, we hope to see a continued increase of visitors and geocaching in Knox County,” said Katie Hux, Knox County Parks District Administrator. “This year’s trail will be very unique to Ohio as it will provide an optional ‘paddle cache’ for those interested in kayaking the Kokosing River.”
The Knox County Park District will be partnering with Valley Kayak Rentals, located in central Ohio, to provide kayak rentals and other opportunities for Geotravelers.
“We are so excited to find a partner that is committed to our trail experience and water safety,” Hux said.
The Knox County Park District 2021 GeoTrail launch date is tentatively set for June 4, 2021.
