- A complainant contacted the KCSO regarding a disturbance and property damage.
March 9
- The Knox County Sheriff’s Office was contacted regarding a suicidal female. Deputies responded and transported the female to Knox Community Hospital for voluntary evaluation.
- Deputies were dispatched to a business in Mount Vernon for a report of a stolen car. Upon arrival a deputy spoke with the victim who said he noticed his truck was missing when he got homer from work. He said when he noticed it was gone he went to the neighboring business and asked if they had the theft on their security video. The business did have the incident on video and deputies were able to identify the suspect, Christopher Charles Nelson. Several minutes after that Mount Vernon Police stopped the suspect for an unrelated incident. Deputies arrived and placed Nelson under arrest for theft of a vehicle. Nelson was transported to Knox County Jail without incident. A report was filed.
- The complainant called the KCSO to report a chainsaw was taken from his barn. The chainsaw was described as a Skil, model 250, and is orange and white. A report was filed for documentation.
- The complainant reported observing a vehicle doing “donuts” in the yard of a property he owns. The complainant provided the license plate number of the vehicle and requested prosecution.
- The complainant reported finding a 10-year-old boy walking along Columbus Rd. A deputy responded and took the boy back to his mother’s house.
