Justin Nowicki

MOUNT VERNON — Mount Vernon Nazarene University President Dr. Henry W. Spaulding II recently announced the appointment of Justin Nowicki to Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management, effective Feb. 8.

“Justin is a strategic thinker who loves MVNU. He knows the impact that a Christian university can have on a student firsthand, and he embodies the character the University seeks in its graduates,” Spaulding said. “I am personally pleased that Justin will assume leadership of traditional enrollment. He is the right person for the future of the program.”

Nowicki moves into this role after serving in forward-thinking positions at MVNU since 2012, including as an Admissions Counselor, Assistant Director of Student Financial Services, Assistant Director of Recruitment, Director of Development, and most recently as Assistant Vice President for Development.

His passion for MVNU and the Church of the Nazarene, as well as his unique combination of experiences and skills make Nowicki a natural fit for the role of AVP for Enrollment.

“Justin has served in leadership roles across our campus since his days of student leadership in Residence Life and Student Government,” said James Smith, vice president for university relations. “He has continued that investment in MVNU through progressive roles in Admissions, Student Financial Services, and Development over the past nine years.

“He has excelled in every position and has demonstrated great capacity in both the art and science required for successful Enrollment Management.”

Nowicki has a Bachelor of Arts (’11) and Master of Business Administration (’14) from MVNU.

“I am honored and humbled to have the opportunity to lead the talented professionals who make up MVNU’s enrollment team,” Nowicki said. “The work they do is truly life changing. I know this to be true because their efforts changed the trajectory of my life as a first-generation college graduate.

“I am thankful to Dr. Spaulding, Rev. James Smith, and the Senior Leadership Team for entrusting me to build on the great foundation provided by those who have come before.”
