Crash Reports

Jan. 13

  • Kennedy M. Brock, Russell J.H. Kennedy, and William P. Bates were traveling east on Coshocton Ave. west of Woodlake Trail. Brock failed to stop for traffic ahead casing her to strike Kennedy in the rear. Kennedy then struck Bates in the rear. Brock was cited for assured clear distance ahead.

Jan. 15

  • Charles E. Flynn was traveling west on Hillcrest Dr. approaching the intersection at Stevens St. Gary R. Blackford was traveling south on Stevens St. approaching the intersection at Hillcrest Dr. Blackford ran the stop sign striking Flynn in the passenger side. Blackford did a 180° turn striking a telephone pole. Blackford was cited for a stop sign violation.

Incident Reports

Jan. 13

  • An officer responded to N. Catherine St. in reference to a report of domestic violence. A report was taken and will be forwarded to the Knox County Juvenile Prosecutor’s Office to review for charges.
  • Officers responded to a Columbus Rd. business on a report of a fight. This report will be forwarded to the City Law Director’s Office to be reviewed for charges.
  • Two officers responded to Marita Dr. for a report of domestic violence. One male was charged and arrested.

Jan. 14

  • An officer was dispatched to KCH for found contraband on a patient. The contraband was collected and placed in an evidence locker at the MVPD. This report will be forwarded to the Knox County Prosecutor’s Office.
  • An officer responded to Beech St. for a report of an abandoned vehicle.The officer located the vehicle and it was towed from the scene.

Jan. 15

  • Two officers responded to E. Ohio Ave. for a disturbance complaint. A female subject was placed under arrest for domestic violence. She was transported to Knox County Jail. The victim declined a temporary protection order.

Jan. 16

  • At approximately 8:32 AM an officer investigated a fraud complaint over the phone. Information was given the complainant.

Jan. 17

  • Officers responded to W. Chestnut St. in reference to an active domestic violence incident. When officers arrived they spoke with the female subject who indicated Scott Cosner punched her because he thought he heard her talking about him. There was a visible injury to the female’s right eye. Cosner was transported to Knox County Jail without incident.
  • An officer responded to a vandalism report on N. Main St.
  • Units were dispatched to an apartment on Shalimar Dr. in reference to a domestic disturbance. Contact was made with both parties and after an investigation, Nicholas Pigg was charged with domestic violence and assault. He was transported to Knox County Jail and released to jail staff.

Jan. 18

  • An officer responded to a stolen car report on S. Main St. A BOLO was sent out for the vehicle and a supplement will be added.
  • An officer responded to S. Main St. for a trespassing report. When the officer arrived he spoke to Campus Safety who advised of a known male who was making staff and patrons nervous. The male was not in the building at the time of the call. A report was taken.
  • An officer was dispatched to the area of N. Sandusky St. and Franklin St. in reference to a theft. The complainant advised sometime between the end of the day of 1-15-21 and the morning of 1-1-21 someone stole a set of Caterpillar pallet forks from the job site. The complainant stated the stolen forks were about 4’x4′ with 4 tines and black in color. The complainant completed a written witness statement for the report.
  • An officer responded to a burglary at Shalimar apartments. The suspect is unknown at this time.

Jan. 13

  • Andrew Josiah Hartley – assault, assault, menacing, domestic violence, and domestic violence.

Jan. 15

  • Kelow S. Jones – Outstanding warrant

Jan. 17

  • Jared Eugene Walker – DOC/P in a medical facility, disorderly conduct-fighting.
  • Nicholas Alan Pigg – assault.

  • Angela M. Baldwin – DUS 12-point suspension

Jan. 15

  • Gary R. Blackford – Stop sign violation

Jan. 16

  • Thane Curtis Oneal – Red light violation and driving under suspension/revocation.

Jan. 18

  • Christopher Nelson – operating a motor vehicle without a valid license and DUS-12 point suspension.
