Some violent spring weather late Tuesday afternoon and into the evening may give us all yet another reason to stay indoors.
The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for most of northern Ohio, including Richland, Ashland, Knox and Crawford counties.
Strong to severe thunderstorms are possible today, this evening and overnight. Large hail, damaging wind, and heavy rain may accompany these storms, the NWS said.
The showers and thunderstorms will come in around 3 p.m. with a warm front, and again this evening and overnight with a cold front.
If storms develop, they could produce large hail, damaging winds, heavy rainfall, and an isolated tornado.
The chance of rain today is 100 percent with new rain amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.
Chance of precipitation tonight is 80 percent with new rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
On Wednesday, there is a chance of showers, mainly before 7 a.m. It will be cloudy through mid morning, then gradual clearing, with a high near 63. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
