MOUNT VERNON – The Knox County Convention and Visitors Bureau now has a new, temporary, office location, thanks to First-Knox National Bank.
Interim Executive Director Justin Bauer-Careins will be located in the basement of First-Knox National Bank, 1 S. Main St., Mount Vernon. Those wishing to meet with her are asked to check in at the bank’s information desk on the first floor. Those needing to send mail should use the following mailing address: PO Box 921, Mount Vernon, OH 43050.
“It’s an exciting time for the CVB, and I’m thankful for the space that First-Knox has graciously provided us,” said Bauer-Careins. “This temporary location will be ideal for our day-to-day operations and meetings with community partners as we develop and strengthen relationships in the county.”
As the CVB board reorganizes and determines staffing needs and direction, the executive committee believed it was necessary to move from a shared office in Woodward Opera House complex. The location at First-Knox will provide stability for the office, the CVB board and county tourism partners until permanent office space is established.
“Having dedicated office space for us to focus on successful operations during this transitional period was one of the board’s paramount concerns and we’re looking forward to serving the county with renewed purpose from this great location,” said Barbara Kakiris, CVB board chair.
Bauer-Careins can also be reached by phone at 740-392-6102 or email at kcvb@thewoodward.org.
