MOUNT VERNON — Knox County Recycling and Litter Prevention, in conjunction with CES Credit Union, will host a Document Destruction Day on Saturday, April 27, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
The event is for residents only. Residents can bring up to five boxes of paper per household to the Knox County Courthouse parking lot on East Chestnut Street.
A certified Secure Destruction Specialist will destroy the documents on site. Staples and paper clips may remain on the documents, but binders need to be removed. Hard drives, thumb drives, and cell phones will be accepted in a separate area at the site.
