MOUNT VERNON — Place 4 Grace, a maternity housing ministry in Knox County, is thrilled to announce the return of Dr. Ron Archer this month. He is supporting the ministry by sharing his story once more on Saturday, March 30, at the Woodward Opera House. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.; Archer takes the stage at 7 p.m. There is no cost to attend.
Dr. Archer was born prematurely to a 16-year-old single mother in a Cleveland ghetto. Born with a severe learning disability and stuttering disorder, his life was plagued by extreme poverty, ridicule, physical abuse and sexual abuse. Through his compelling life story you will clearly see a journey that led him from pain to power, from wounds to wisdom, and from failure to fortune.
God led him from the outhouse of life to the White House where he served as an advisor to several U.S. Presidents, the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Foreign Prime Ministers and other World Leaders. When you listen to what he had to overcome to get where he is today, it will bring tears of joy to your heart and soul.
Due to the nature of Dr Archer’s testimony, this event is not suitable for children.
There will be an opportunity extended to give to the ministry of Place 4 Grace.
Place 4 Grace is a Christ-centered home where single, pregnant, young ladies learn self-sufficiency and build healthy family cycles through education and everyday living. Their goal is to end cycles of poverty, abuse, addiction and unwed pregnancies.
