KNOX COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

Dec. 6

  • Sathish K. Jayaprakash was rattempting to go up the hill that is the entrance to Mohican Tree House and Cabins when it slid back down the hill because of the ice and snow on the road. The vehicle came to rest against a tree. There was no propety damage.

Dec. 7

  • A deputy was advised that a Centerburg resident. James A. Martin had a warrant for his arrest. Martin was located and arrested.

Dec. 8

  • A deputy was dispatched to the Kenyon College Campus Safety Office in Gambier for found drug paraphernalia and marijuana. The items were picked up and placed in the KCSO evidence room and marked for destruction.
  • While on routine patrol, an officer located Alvin Burton who had an active warrant issued out of Common Pleas Court. Burton was arrested and transported to the Knox County Jail where he was released to jail staff.
  • The complainant called the KCSO and advised the suspect was walking north on Newark Rd. in traffic. It was determined the suspect, Jessie Schorr, was involved in a domestic violence incident. He was transported to the Knox County Jail without incident.
  • Marcus Larr was traveling southeast when it struck a deer in the roadway on Martinsburg Rd. The deer ran into the roadway running west to east when it was struck, causing its death.

Dec. 9

  • Isaiah E. Lewis was traveling west on Old Delaware Rd. when his vehicle malfunctioned causing it to come to rest in the roadway. Jeffrey S. Kosinski was also traveling west when he crested a hill and was unable to avoid colliding with Lewis.
