MOUNT VERNON — If you can’t make it to a collection point on Saturday, Dec. 8, no problem! The Mount Vernon Post Offices are supporting Food for the Hungry by picking up food donations for area residents.
Simply leave canned or boxed food items in a bag or box by your mailbox or mail slot, and Mount Vernon postal workers will pick up the items as they come by to deliver your regular Saturday mail. It’s that easy, and they won’t charge you any postage.
