Crash Reports

Dec. 1

  • A vehicle owned by Carla Sue Glancy-Shaffer was parked on N. Mechanic St. when an unknown vehicle struck her and fled the scene.
  • Jeremiah E. Vernon was at a stop sign headed north on N. McKenzie St. Sarah K. Eash was traveling west on E. Sugar St. Vernon proceeded to pull through the intersection failing to see Eash and striking her in the driver side. Eash went off the roadway and struck a fire hydrant. Vernon was cited with running a stop sign.
  • Audrey F. Bigelow-Porter advised she was in the right, straight lane on Phillips Dr. just coming around the curve onto S. Main St. when she collided with another vehicle. Jill E. Slaughter advised she was in the left straight lane on Phillips Dr. just coming around the curve onto S. Main St. when she collided with another vehicle. Neither vehicle was determined to be at fault.

Dec. 2

  • Jonathan A. Burke was traveling east on E. Ohio Ave. when he struck a tree in the backyard of an E. Gambier St. residence. He was transported to Knox Community Hospital then to Grant Hospital by Medflight.

Incident Reports

Nov. 29

  • At approximately 8:30 AM, an officer responded to Ridgewood Dr. on a report of vandalism. When the officer arrived on the scene he spoke to the complainant who stated someone had broken the rear window on his minivan. A written statement was collected and a report made. There are no suspects at this time.
  • An officer was dispatched to N. Gay St. on a report of a suspicious male. When the officer arrived he spoke with the male who advised the DEA had kidnapped him and he wanted to kill the architect. The male was transported to KCH for a mental health evaluation. A pink slip was issued and a report taken.

Nov. 30

  • At 8:24 AM two officers responded to a call about a disturbance on N. Main St. When they arrive, they spoke with both parties and one of them chose to leave. Written statements were obtained. Copies of this report were forwarded to Child Protective Services and the County Prosecutor’s Office.
  • An officer met the complainant on W. Chestnut St. The complainant reported eight concrete statues were taken from her yard. The statues were Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. The complainant was not sure when the statues were taken. All eight statues were of considerable weight and size. The Snow White statue was described as being 4 – 5 ft. tall weighing close to 300 lbs. There are no suspects at this time. Any new information will be supplemented to this report.

Dec. 1

  • Officers responded to Shirley Ave. in reference to a disturbance. When they arrived, one of the officers spoke with the complainant who stated an older male pushed him down causing him to scrape his knee. The officer spoke with the older male who admitted to having an altercation with the complainant and stated he handled it himself. The older male was issued a summons for disorderly conduct.
  • An officer responded to Brook Run Ct. on a report of theft of packages. A report was taken and the victim was reimbursed by the company the packages were sent from. The suspect is unknown and no charges will be filed. This investigation is closed.

Dec. 2

  • Two officers responded to an N. Main St. address on a report of trespassing. The suspect was located on the premises. He was held in handcuffs and given his Miranda rights. The suspect was subsequently arrested and placed in the rear of the patrol vehicle. The suspect alleged he had consumed a narcotic. He was taken to KCH for evaluation and once he was cleared he was transported to the Knox County Jail.

  • Daniel Woody, 16, Ridgewood Ave. Was cited for failure to control/weaving.

Nov. 29

  • Maxwell Wise, 21, Brinkhaven, was arrested for an outstanding warrant.
  • April MacPherson, 30, W. Gambier St. was cited for failure3 to yield right-of-way at an intersection.
  • Cecilia Blanton, 34, E.Vine St. was cited for no operator’s license and expired or unlawful plates.

Nov. 30

  • Robert Doyle, 35, whereabouts unknown, arrested on outstanding warrant.
  • Jadelyn Evans 17, Pleasant Valley Rd. was cited for drive onto road/duty to yield.
  • William Harter, 29, Howard, was cited for DUS FRA suspension or non-compliance.
  • Kiersten Lallathin, 36, Pearl Ave. was cited for failure to control/weaving.
  • Grant Boucher, 39, Pleasant Valley Rd. was arrested for probation violation.

Dec. 1

  • Konnor Shoemaker, 22, Eastrmore Dr. was cited for a headlight violation.
  • Raymond Beaver, 26, E. Burgess St. arrest on an outstanding warrant.
  • Jeremiah Vernon, 31, Gambier, was cited for running a stop sign.
  • Colton Hill, 21, Shalimar Dr. was arrested for an outstanding warrant.

Dec. 2

  • Rickie Rhea, 23, whereabouts unknown, was arrested on an outstanding warrant and was cited for running a red light.
  • Dalton Smith, 24, N. Main St. was arrested for criminal trespass, obstructing official business and on a warrant for probation violation.
  • Andrew Newcomb, 34, whereabouts unknown, was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
