Leaf pick up complete, but significant leftovers? Call Mount Vernon Street Dept.

MOUNT VERNON — As of Thursday, Nov. 29, leaf pick-up in the City of Mount Vernon was completed, according to Tom Hinkle, Mount Vernon Street Department Superintendent

Any residents with a significant amount of leaves that still need to be picked may call the Street Department office at 740-393-9501 between the hours of 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. before Dec. 4 to make arrangements for pick up the week of Dec. 3-7 — weather permitting.

The leaf drop off area located through the west entrance to Ariel-Foundation Park (off Harcourt Road) will remain open through Dec. 16, 2018. This is for loose leaves only.

All bags and other containers must be removed from the area after they are emptied.
