Nov. 26

  • Speaking to an officer, the complainant said the Apple Valley Property Owners Association called and advised him that within the last 30 days his boat trailer was missing from the Apple Valley Marina. The boat’s owner advised the association that he had not taken it. The complainant requested a report be written on the stolen trailer. The deputy informed the complainant that a report would be written and the trailer would be placed into LEADS as stolen.

Nov. 27

  • A deputy was dispatched to Kenyon College Campus Safety on the complaint of drugs. The deputy arrived on scene and collected one pill bottle with an unknown substance, possibly marijuana, and one blue grinder with residue. A report was taken and the items were placed into evidence for disposal.

Nov. 28

  • A driver was traveling eastbound on Coshocton Road when she lost control on a curve and left the roadway and crashed. Damage was done to a mailbox in the 19000 block of Coshocton Road.

Nov. 29

  • Calvin Curry, 58, of Mount Vernon, was arrested on an outstanding warrant issued by the Mount Vernon Municipal Court. He was taken to the Knox County Jail without any incidents.
Stolen Yamaha ATV

A deputy arrived at a Roberts Road residence and spoke with the victim, who advised the deputy that an unknown person or persons entered his barn between 5 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, and 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, and stole multiple items. The victim informed the deputy that a camouflage Yamaha Rhino side-by-side was stolen from his barn. It contained a handgun and numerous trapping supplies. The victim further stated that other handheld power tools and accessories were taken from the barn. The deputy advised the victim that a report would be written, the firearm and Yahama Rhino entered into LEADS, and a be-on-the-lookout will be placed on the ATV.
