Grace C. Chaffin, 77, of Mount Vernon and formerly of Howard passed away on Thursday evening, Nov. 1, 2018 at the Knox Community Hospital.
She was born on October 22, 1941 in San Diego, Calfornia to the late Emelio and Carmen (Rodriguez) Delgado.
Grace was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. She was Nurse’s Aide for over 25 years. Grace enjoyed sewing, cooking and spending time with her family.
Grace is survived by her children, Jeff Chaffin, of North Carolina, Mark (Stephanie) Chaffin, of Texas, and Debra (Clyde) Marvin, of Danville; several grandchildren and six great grandchildren; sisters, Martha Ledesma and Norma Vizcaino; brothers, Emelio, Edward and Cesar Delgabo; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Grace was preceded in death by her husband, Grant Chaffin in 2010.
The family will have a memorial service celebrating the life of Grace at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 8, 2018 at the Fredericktown American Legion, 87 Mount Vernon Ave., Fredericktown.
