Bruce L. Harrell

Bruce L. Harrell, 59, formerly of Spencer, Wisconsin, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes at his home in Mount Vernon on Oct. 29, 2018.

Bruce was born May 12, 1959 to David and Donna (Flagel) Harrell. He was a 1977 graduate of Spencer High School, Spencer Wisconsin. Bruce enjoyed working with electronics and computers. He had a great love for his pets and just being outdoors. He was currently employed by Sanoh America Incorporated in Mount Vernon.

While working in California he met the love of his life, Patty. They married on Oct. 5 1996 and were inseparable until her untimely passing April 11, 2016. He was a member of Green Valley Southern Baptist Church in Mt. Vernon.

Bruce is survived by three sisters: Georgia (John) Felhlman, of Medford, Wisconsin; Susan Reid, of Fenton, Michigan, and Paula (Brad) Ellingson, of Lisbon, North Dakota. Three brothers: Dan (Pam) Harrell, of Gladewater, Texas, Mark (Dorothy) Harrell, of Marshfield, Wisconsin, and Rob (Diane) Harrell, of Cedar, Park Texas. He is also survived by his Aunt Loretta Flagel, of Wausau, Wisconsin and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Bruce is further survived by his mother in law, Patricia Cockrell, of Mt. Vernon, Patty’s sisters: Judith Auditore, of Columbus, Penny (Ray) Evans, of Sunbury, and her brother Jim (Becky) Cockrell, of Santa Cruz, California.

Bruce was preceded in death by his loving wife Patty (Cockrell) Harrell, his parents, grandparents, and two brothers Raymond and Michael and his father-in-law James Cockrell.

Bruce will be missed by his family, friends, co-workers and church family.

A memorial service will be held at the Green Valley Southern Baptist Church, 1680 Delaware Rd., Mount Vernon, on Sunday, Nov. 11 at 2 p.m.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the church in Bruce’s name.

The Harrell family will hold a memorial in Wisconsin at a later date. The Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home of Mount Vernon is honored to serve the family of Bruce L. Harrell.
