Crash Reports
Nov. 1
- Darren A. Adams was traveling east through a N. Sandusky Street parking lot and Roger C. Burnham was walking south from the building through the parking lot when he was struck by Adams. Burnham suffered injuries and was transported to Knox Community Hospital by ther Mount Vernon Fire Department EMS.
- Brittany D. Ball was east bound on E. Gambier St. and a vehicle owned by Travis Wrenn Hicks was legally parked on the south side of the roadway. Ball moved to the right as she passed and struck Hicks’ vehicle. Ball was cited for failure to control/weaving.
Nov. 2
- While backing northbound out of a parking lot on Newark Rd. Lincoln T. Rainer collided with Jeffrey S. Wilson who was backing southbound out of a parking space.
- Jared Blubaugh and Andres Dawn Magers were traveling east on Coshocton Ave. in the outside lane. Magers stopped for traffic ahead and was struck in the rear by Blubaugh who failed to stop in time. Blubaugh was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead.
- Athena T. Howard was traveling west on Coshocton Ave. and Rachel M. Black was traveling east on Coshocton Ave. Howard turned in front of Black and was struck in the passenger side. Howard was cited for failure to yield the right-of-way when turning left.
Nov. 3
- Brennon Blaine Kelley was stopped at a stop sign while traveling west on Ames St. at Newark Rd. Shawn Michael West was traveling south on Newark Rd. at Ames St. Kelley failed to yield to oncoming traffic and collided with West in the intersection. Kelley was cited for running a stop sign.
Incident Reports
Nov. 1
- Two officers responded to a domestic dispute on E. High St. As a result of their investigation, Joshua Careins was arrested for domestic violence and transported to the Knox County Jail. A temporary protection order was issued.
Nov. 3
- An officer responded to the MVPD to take a vandalism complaint. A statement and photographs were taken at that time. The suspect’s information was obtained.
- An officer was dispatched to a residence on N. McKenzie Street in reference to a theft complaint. The complainant stated he discovered several tools missing from his residence. The complainant was not aware of any potential suspects. An investigation is pending and this report will be supplemented with any new information that becomes available.
- An officer responded to Harcourt Rd. in reference to a stolen vehicle. The victim stated sometime between 10/29 at 2:00 PM and 11/3/2018 at 11:540 PM an unknown person stole her 2002 Jeep Cherokee from her driveway. She added the keys were possibly in the vehicle and it had a full tank of gas. The vehicle was entered into LEADS as stolen.

- Joshua Careins, 37, E. High St. was arrested and charged with domestic violence.
- Brittany Ball, 32, N. Concord St. was cited for failure to control/weaving course.
- Donald Utz, 53, Howard was cited for expired or unlawful plates.
- Mason Schnars, 25, Marengo, was arrested for an outstanding warrant.
Nov. 2
- Zachary Wagoner, 28, Follin Ave. was cited for speeding and for driving under suspension/revocation.
- Rachel Gayer, 34, N. Sandusky St. was cited for failure to yield the right-of-way when turning left.
- Jared Blubaugh, 19, Danville, was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead.
- Bruce Morrison, 47, Pine St. was arrested for domestic violence.
- Athena Howard, 37, Utica, was cited for nonresident valid OL required and failure to yield right-of-way when turning left.
- Breanna Moreland, 18, Bellville, was arrested and charged with criminal mischief.

- Jacob Stotts, 24, Blackjack Rd. was cited for littering from a motor vehicle.
- Brennon Kelley, 19, New, OH, was cited for running a stop sign.
Nov. 4
- Tina Shepard, 50, Centerburg, was arrested for an outstanding warrant.
