MANSFIELD — The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force is offering a reward of $20,000 for information which would lead to the capture of fugitive Shawn Christy.
Christy is wanted by the U.S. Marshals Service, F.B.I., Secret Service and numerous local authorities for threatening President Donald Trump and other Pennsylvania officials. He is also sought in burglary and probation violation cases.
Christy, 27, is a white male, standing approximately 5-foot-10 and weighing 150 pounds. Supervisory deputy U.S. Marshal, Anne Murphy added that he could be wearing a baseball cap. She had no further description of his clothing.
Christy should be considered armed and dangerous. Citizens in the Mansfield area should use caution.
Authorities believe Christy crashed a stolen vehicle near the I-71 and Ohio 13 interchange on Sunday night and is now on foot in the region. Reports say he considers himself a survivalist.
Homes and cars should remain locked
“In the Mansfield area, people should make sure their homes, vehicles are secure,” Murphy said.
If you see Christy call the authorities immediately. They are advised not to approach him.
“You can call any law enforcement,” Murphy said. “We’re responding to all tips.”
Federal Agents are offering a cash award of up to $20,000 for information leading to the direct arrest of Christy.

This is a difficult time of year for a search, Murphy explained.
“It’s raining. It’s hot. They (law enforcement officers) are carrying a lot of weight on their backs, but they’re working hard… until he’s either under arrest or feel like he’s left the area, ” she said.
Murphy didn’t provide details about where the search was currently taking place, only saying, “We have a large police presence in the area.”
