ONTARIO – Firm in her belief that fashion has no size, Hannah Bartram has set out to create a different type of shopping experience for women.
The 22-year-old Loudonville resident recently celebrated the grand opening of the Chickadee by Hannah B. Boutique at the Richland Mall. The business relocated from Ashland, where it opened about seven months ago.
“I’ve always loved outfits and putting things together, but it wasn’t until after I had my daughter that I found it wasn’t a pleasant experience to shop, so I had to create a safe world,” Bartram said.
She hopes to foster a positive environment and to offer styles for all women. Sizes range from small to 4XL.
Before opening her boutique, Bartram was a stay-at-home mom. She made lotions, bath bombs, scarves and more and sold them online.
She decided to relocate to Ontario, as her husband, Jacob works in the area. They live in Loudonville and are looking to move to Richland County.
“I think it was just perfect for us. My husband, he also has businesses over here in Ontario, so now we can carpool,” Bartram said.
The couple have three children, Emma, 3, Dash, 1, and Max, who is only 4 weeks-old. They come to work with Hannah Bartram daily.
The boutique’s name came from her nickname for Emma, “Chickadee”
It is located at the former Bath and Body Work’s location within the mall. Bath and Body Works relocated to a larger space in April to add a White Barn.
Hours at Chickadee by Hannah B. are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday.
