MOUNT VERNON — Shelbi Keller of the Mount Vernon Nazarene University Women’s Tennis team has been named the MVNU Student-Athlete of the Week.
The senior from Mansfield, and Madison High School alumnus, worked hard both on the courts and in the classroom in 2017-2018, earning Google Cloud Academic All-District for the “at-large” group of sports and Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors. The Google Cloud Academic All-America team will be announced on Monday, June 11.
Keller completed her undergraduate degree at MVNU with an impressive grade point average (GPA) of 3.89 while studying Early Childhood Education. On the tennis court for the Cougars, Keller finished the 2017-2018 season 7-10 in singles play and 7-7 in doubles play.
