Scholarships and awards abound at Fredericktown's Senior Awards Night

FREDERICKTOWN — Donning red and gray gowns, Fredericktown High School seniors filled the gymnasium Thursday evening for the annual Senior Awards Night. A day before they were to accept their diplomas, the students instead were handed scholarships and academic awards.

Ethan Dowalter and Leah Turner were named co-valedictorians for the class of 2018. Molly Linhares was recognized as the salutatorian.

“This has been an outstanding class to work with,” said senior class advisor Carolyn Grimm. “We can’t wait to see what they’re going to do as they embrace the global challenge and become part of that community. The best to each one of you as you embark on the next chapter of life’s journey.”
