Crash Reports

May 11

  • Susan K. Birie was stopped southbound on N. McArthur St. at E. High St at the stop sign. Ulanda Jones was traveling westbound on E. High St. Birie proceeded into the intersection to turn westbound failing to see Jones, causing Jones to strike Birie in the left side. Birie was cited for a stop sign violation.
  • Darrell G. Devore was parked northbound in a parking stall in the Knox County Head Start parking lot. Amanda M. Cody was traveling westbound in the designated travel lane of the parking lot. Devore proceeded to travel northwest bound through the marked parking spaces before proceeding to turn westbound into the designated travel lane. Devore failed to yield the right-of-way to Cody, causing Cody to strike Devore in the right side. Devore was cited for failure to control/weaving.
  • Michael D. Brady and Laura B. Wiggand were traveling westbound on Coshocton Ave. Wiggand slowed for traffic and Brady struck a trailer attached to Wiggand’s vehicle damaging the trailer and the rear end of her vehicle. Brady was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead.

May 12

  • Both Jamie O’Quin and Jason A. Weaver were on Sychar Rd. tuning eastbound onto Coshocton Ave. Weaver stopped abruptly and was rear-ended by O’Quin who was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead.

Incident Reports

May 11

  • At approximately 6:52 A.M an officer responded to Adamson St in reference to a theft from a motor vehicle. The complainant indicated his girlfriend had items taken from her vehicle, including several credit cards and several forms of ID. The investigation continues.
  • At approximately 9:59 P.M. Units were dispatched to a Coshocton Ave. business in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival officers made contact with the individuals involved and discussed what occurred at the drive-thru window. Both individuals stated words and actions occurred that should have not happened. The supervisor was advised and witness statements were collected.

May 12

  • At approximately 12:25 A.M. An officer responded to a N. Main St. address in reference to a disturbance. When the officer arrived he noticed a vehicle parked next to the residence with heavy damage to the windshield. When the officer made contact with the victim she indicated her boyfriend had done the damage. Charges for criminal damaging against the boyfriend were issued.
  • At 1:13 A.M. Officers were dispatched to Vaughn Court on a report of two males who forced their way into a residence and were assaulting the occupants. During the course of the investigation Stone Sandy-Long and Dalton Sandy-Long were both arrested and charged with assault. Both subjects were also being held for felony charges. This report is being forward to the County Prosecutor for additional charges.
  • At approximately 10:54 A.M. An officer was dispatched to E. Pleasant St on a report of a theft. The complainant stated that someone had gotten into his house and taken $60.00 cash from him. The complainant provided the name of the person he believed took the money. However, he did not witness the act nor is there any evidence at this time to prove it. The investigation is ongoing.

May 13

  • An officer made contact with an elderly female who was walking down the middle of N. Sandusky St. The female informed the officer that she had been stranded in Mount Vernon and needed assistance. Due to her condition the officer assisted the female to Knox Community Hospital for their assistance. The officer called an acquaintance of the female to giv her a ride.

April 20

  • Bryan Pruitt, 27, Chester St. was arrested and charged with drug abuse. He was also cited for driving under suspension/revocation.

May 8

  • Jeffrey Petrey, 44, S. Catherine St. was arrested and charged with theft.

May 10

  • Susan Denuit, 36, W. Chestnut St. was arrested and charged with theft.

May 11

  • Susan Birie, 72, Fredericktown was cited for a stop sign violation.
  • Darrell Devore, 62, Pleasant Valley Rd. was cited for failure to control/weaving.
  • Michael Brady, 31, Howard was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead.

May 12

  • Avery Smith, 24, N. Main St. was arrested and charged with criminal mischief.
  • Dalton Sandy-Long, 22, Wooster, was arrested and charged with two counts of assault.
  • Stone Sandy-Long, 19, Wooster, was arrested and charged with two counts of assault.
  • Jamie O’Quin, 39, E. Burgess St. was cited for assured clear distance ahead.
  • Syf Neneria, 19, Broadway St. was cited for expired or unlawful license plates.

  • Jordan Ammons, 27, Sychar Rd. was cited for driving under suspension/revocation.
