Crash Reports
May 7
- A vehicle owned by Ronald J. Rahn was parked in a parking lot on Coshocton Ave., facing west. An unknown driver was backing out of another parking spot from the east, backed into the rear end of Rahn’s vehicle and then took off. A passenger in Rahn’s vehicle was able to give a description and a partial plate. Police have not been able to identify the unknown driver at this point.
Incident Reports
May 7
- An officer responded to the MVPD in reference to an identity theft. The investigation of the incident will continue.
- The complainant reported that someone removed his bike from behind his residence on Burgess St. He believes the incident took place sometime between 5/4/18 and 5/7/18. The bike is described as a 26” men’s “Mongoose.” The color is described as “Hot Shot” black and orange. There are no suspects t this time and any new information will be supplemented.
- The complainant/victim reported an incident of vandalism at his residence on Wooster Rd. He said that sometime overnight, someone damaged his motor vehicle that was parked at the parking lot at his residence, There are no suspects at this time.
May 8
- An officer responded to a W. Chestnut St. residence in reference to an impound. When the officer arrived he spoke to a female who said that after a 4-hour wait was placed on her soon-to-be ex-husband’s car he failed to remove it from the property. The car was towed to the Mount Vernon Impound Lot. Towing and storage fees must be paid and proof of ownership provided to get the vehicle out of impound.
- An officer responded to a Coshocton Ave address on a drug complaint An item was seized at that time and secured into an evidence locker to be destroyed at a later time. No charges were filed and this investigation has been closed.
- At 140 P.M. Officers responded to an E. Sugar St. residence on a domestic violence complaint. Written statements and photographs were obtained. The suspect was locate and taken into custody without incident and transported to the Knox County Jail. The suspect was charged with one count of domestic violence and one count of assault.

- Andruw Carl, 2, Fredericktown, was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
- Dominik Snell, 27, Buckeye Lake, was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

- James Perry, 24, Cardington, was arrested and charged with drug abuse.
- Timothy Harold, 29, Centerburg, was arrested and charged with criminal trespass.
- Chance Pickens, 22, N.McKenzie St. was arrested and charged with 1 count of criminal damaging or endangering, 1 count of criminal trespass and 1 count of drug abuse.
- Joel Roberson, 67, Howard, was cited for expired or unlawful license plates.
- Austin Tatman, 25, Columbus Rd. was arrested and charges with 1 count of domestic violence and 1 count of assault.
- Darin Alspach, 31, Banning Rd was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead.
- Nicholas Keith, 33, N. Main St. was arrested for possession of drug abuse instruments.
- Courtney Evans, 43, N. Main St. was arrested for possession of drug abuse instruments.
- James Ramsey, 59, N. Mulberry St. was cited for expired or unlawful license plates.
- Nichole Beck, 39, Kirk St. was arrested for theft.
