MOUNT VERNON — Ethan Doon, of the Mount Vernon Nazarene men’s golf team, had a strong performance in the Crossroads League Tournament this week.
His effort earned Doon the MVNU Student-Athlete of the Week honor.
The senior business administration major from Columbus, Ohio finished the tournament in a tie for 13th overall at +9 over the course of the three days.
On each day he led MVNU with the lowest score on the back nine. On Tuesday he recorded birdies on the par 3 12th hole and the par 4 14th before finishing at one under for the final nine holes.
Behind Doon’s play, the Cougars were able to claim fifth place overall in the Crossroads League Tournament.
