MOUNT VERNON — Judge John Thatcher found 15 people guilty after arraignments and hearings were held at the Mount Vernon Municipal Court on April 17, 2018.
Jesse Sisson, 26, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle, Failing to Stop After an Accident, and two counts of Possession of Drug Abuse Instruments. For the Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle charge, the Court sentenced him to serve 180 days in jail, with 156 days suspended, and placed him on two years of probation. For the Failure to Stop After an Accident charge, the Court sentenced him to serve 180 days in jail, with 156 days suspended, placed him on two years of probation, and suspended his operator’s license for 180 days. For the possession charges, the Court sentenced Jesse to serve an additional 24 days in jail for each count.
Andruw Carl, 21, of Fredericktown, was found guilty of Assault and Theft. The Court sentenced him to serve 180 days in jail, with 90 days suspended, and placed him on two years of probation.
Alexis Oliphant, 23, of Lancaster, was found guilty of Driving Under and FRA Suspension. The Court sentenced her to pay a $200 fine.
Ivoree Bond, 25, of Mansfield, was found guilty of Driving Under Suspension. The Court sentenced her to pay a $200 fine.
Tyler Doerrer, 21, of Ashland, was found guilty of Speeding. The Court sentenced him to pay a $150 fine.
Adam Canter, 50, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Failing to Yield from Private Property. The Court sentenced him to pay a $25 fine.
Shade Knox, 29, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Operating a Vehicle with Expired Plates. The Court sentenced him to pay a $30 fine.
Brad Neitzelt, 26, of Wooster, was found guilty of Driving Under an FRA Suspension. The Court sentenced him to pay a $200 fine.
David Barton, 48, of Zanesville, was found guilty of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and driving with Dim Headlights. For the possession charge, the Court sentenced him to pay a $250 fine and suspended his operator’s license for 180 days. He was fined an additional $25 for the headlight violation.
Christopher Creech, 49, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Driving Under an FRA Suspension and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. For the DUS, the Court sentenced him to pay a $300 fine. He will be sentenced for the Possession charge on May 11, 2018.
David Butts, 42, of Utica, was found guilty of Domestic Violence and Violating a Protection Order. He will be sentenced on May 22, 2018, following a pre-sentence investigation.
Judy McCloskey, 28, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Petty Theft. The Court sentenced her to serve 180 days in jail, with all time suspended, and placed her on two years of probation with the following condition: attend and complete the social responsibility clinic.
Aviendha Thomas, 20, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Operating a Vehicle while Under the Influence. The Court sentenced her to pay a $500 fine, serve 180 days in jail, with 177 days suspended, placed her on two years of community control with the following condition: attend and complete a driver intervention program, and suspended her operator’s license for one year.
Brandon Wolfe, 39, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Driving Under an OVI/ALS Suspension. The Court sentenced him to pay a $250 fine, serve 180 days in jail, with 177 days suspended, and placed him on two years of probation.
Mark Wolfe, 50, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of failing to keep an Assured Cleared Distance Ahead. The Court sentenced him to pay a $50 fine.
