Crash Reports

Feb. 26

  • Christopher Shuler was traveling southbound on Boynton St and turned westbound onto Cedar St. Shuler failed to control the vehicle while in the turn and struck a parked vehicle owned by Bradley R. Burwell pushing it into another parked car. Shuler was cited for failure to control/weaving.
  • Sharon D. Thayer was parked in a marked parking space in a Coshocton Ave. business’ parking lot. Thayer backed from the parking space and struck Robert G. Parkinson, who was eastbound in the lot.

Incident Reports

Feb. 26

  • At 9:53 A.M. An officer initiated a traffic stop on N. Gay St. at E. Sugar St. for a traffic violation. The vehicle was subsequently impounded and secured at the city impound lot. One key was obtained at the time of impounding. Towing and storage fees will be assessed.
  • An officer responded to S. Main St. at approximately 12:42 P.M. on a reported theft from a vehicle. The officer spoke with the complainant who said someone stole her purse from her vehicle which was parked in the lot at the rear of the building. The purse contained a wallet with a debit card (already canceled) a car charger, $300 in cash and insurance cards. A witness statement was completed and a report made. There are no suspects at this time.

Feb. 27

  • An officer was summoned to a Coshocton Ave. business on a reported theft. The suspect had passed the last point of sale without paying for their items which included pizza. music CDs, bread, sausage, ear buds, boots, donuts, shorts, and 3 dozen eggs. The suspect was issued a summons.
  • An officer responded to the Knox Community Hospital Financial Office on a complaint about threats being made. Evidence was recovered at that time. The suspect is currently unknown. The investigation has been turned over to the Mount Vernon Police Department Detective Division.

  • Samantha Cunningham, 25, Harcourt Rd. was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

Feb. 24

  • Joshua Clendenen, 39, Upper Gilchrist Rd. was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

Feb.25

  • Andrew Newcomb, 33, N. Mulberry St. was arrested on an outstanding warrant and also charged with possessing drug abuse instruments.

Feb. 26

  • Dylan Murphy,25, N. Sandusky St. was cited for failure to transfer registration.
  • James Hayslip, 27, Calhoun St. was cited for running a red light.
  • Christopher Shuler, 17, Howard, was cited for failure to control/weaving.
  • Rachel Mumaw, 37, N. Mulberry St. was cited for fictitious plates.
  • Ashley Ferrell, 31, Prospect St. was arrested on a warrant for probation violation.
  • Gregory Branstool, 59, Shalimar Dr. was arrested and charged with aggravated menacing and inducing panic.

Feb. 27

  • Tina Meto, 40, N. Norton St. was charged with theft.
  • Michael Bond, 37, E. Vine St. was cited for driving under the influence and for changing lanes without safety and driving under the influence within 20 years of a prior offense.
  • Kevin Berry, 38, N. Gay St. was cited for driving under suspension/revocation.
  • Rose Tiffany, 41, Shirley Ave. was cited for driving under FRA suspension.
  • Johnathan Zimelis, 35, Oak St. was cited for driving under FRA suspension.
