KNOX COUNTY — Knox County, Ohio is announcing that it has gone live with Accela, the leading provider of civic engagement solutions for government organizations. This software provides an automated agenda system that citizen/staff web-portal. Accela’s Agenda and Minutes software will enable Knox County to more efficiently prepare the agendas and minutes for their public meetings, as well as provide the county a searchable website to house their public meeting documents for the community and staff.

The County Commissioners are excited with the transparency that the new system will provide to the community. Not only will future documents be housed on a web-portal for citizens, media, and staff to search before or after the meeting, but Accela has uploaded the last five years of the county’s historical meeting minutes and made them keyword searchable and accessible online as well.

“We appreciate the new system allowing for easy access to meeting information and the increased transparency it provides for the residents of Knox County,” said Teresa Bemiller, Knox County Commissioner.

Additionally, County Administrator Jason Booth is pleased with the efficiency and user-friendliness of the Agenda and Minutes software compared to the current, dated, manual paper procedure. “We are pleased to have streamlined the weekly meeting process. The new platform provides for paperless meeting documents and increased efficiency.”

The cloud-based meeting portal can be accessed by clicking “Agenda & Minutes” under the “County Offices/Commissioners” tab of the city website, or at http://knoxcountyoh.iqm2.com/.
