MOUNT VERNON — Judge John Thatcher found 15 people guilty after arraignments and hearings were held at the Mount Vernon Municipal Court on Jan. 16, 2018.
Glenna Young, 74, of Howard, was found guilty of Vehicular Manslaughter and Failure to abide by Stop/Yield Signs. She will be sentenced on Feb. 28, 2018 following a pre-sentence investigation.
Shane Tucker, 26, of Centerburg, was found guilty of Possession of Drug Abuse Instruments and two counts of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The court sentenced him to a $150 fine for the Paraphernalia charges, and for the Drug Abuse Instruments he was sentenced to serve 90 days in jail with 90 days suspended and was placed on two years of probation with the following condition: complete a drug and alcohol assessment within 60 days.
Amber West, 33, of Mount Gilead, was found guilty of Possession of Marijuana. The court sentenced her to pay a $150 fine.
Amanda Stewart, 26, of Marion, was found guilty of Operating a Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol and Failure to Use Reasonable Control. The court sentenced her to pay a $500 fine, serve 180 days in jail with 177 days suspended, and placed her on two years of community control with the following conditions: attend a 72-hour driver intervention program and suspended her operator’s license for one year.
Tammy McKay, 43, of Fredericktown, was found guilty of Speeding. The court sentenced her to pay a $25 fine.
Kathleen Stover, 48, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Possession of Drug Abuse Instruments. The court sentenced her to serve 12 days in jail.
Ryan Dewyze, 34, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Petty Theft. The court sentenced him to serve 105 days in jail.
Tiffany Fulton, 35, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Possession of Drug Abuse Instruments and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The court sentenced her to serve 60 days in jail concurrently for these charges.
Tara Tomlin, 28, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Criminal Trespass and Driving Under Suspension. The court sentenced her to serve 12 days in jail concurrently for these charges.
Danielle Krownapple, 34, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Possession of Drug Abuse Instruments and Petty Theft. For the Possession charge, the court sentenced her to serve 90 days in jail with 90 days suspended, and placed her on two years of probation with the following conditions: complete a drug and alcohol assessment within 60 days. For the Theft charge, the court sentenced her to serve 180 days in jail with 180 day suspended and placed her on two years of probation with the following condition: complete a drug and alcohol assessment within 60 days and attend a social responsibility clinic.
Lori Cook, 43, of Fredericktown, was found guilty of Telecommunications Harassment. She will be sentenced on Feb. 20, 2018 following a pre-sentence investigation.
Buck Stevens, 41, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Operating a Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol. The court sentenced him to pay a $700 fine, serve 180 days in jail with 170 days suspended, and placed him on two years of community control with the following conditions: complete a drug and alcohol assessment within 60 days and suspended his operator’s license for two years.
Brian Jose, 35, of Fredericktown, was found guilty of Driving Under Suspension. The court sentenced him to pay a $200 fine.
Lacie Peters, 39, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Driving Under an OVI Suspension. The court sentenced her to pay a $250 fine and serve three days in jail.
Sean Conant, 49, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Disorderly Conduct/Persisting. The court sentenced him to serve 30 days in jail with 30 days suspended and placed him on two years of probation with the following conditions: complete a drug and alcohol assessment within 60 days, complete the Court’s Hands Down program, and enroll, if necessary, in random drug and alcohol screenings.
