CLEVELAND – Kenyon Ladies guard Paige Matijasich was named the North Coast Athletic Conference’s Player of the Week for the second time this season after another stellar week of play in which Kenyon won twice.
With the recognition, Matijasich became the first Ladies player since former standout Maureen Hirt in 2013-14 to win the honor twice in one season.
Last week, the Ladies notched wins against Oberlin College and Hiram College to improve to 14-3 and 7-1 in the NCAC with Matijasich leading the way.
She averaged 17 points per game while shooting 56 percent from the field and 62.5 percent from three-point land. The Pickerington, Ohio native also was a reliable rebounder pulling in 6.5 per contest.
This season, she is second in the conference in scoring (14.9) and fifth in field goal percentage (44.9) and three-point field goal percentage (35.4).
Kenyon, which sits in second place in the NCAC, returns to the hardwood on Jan. 17 at 6 p.m. when it hosts The College of Wooster.
