Incident Report

  • Jan. 5 – At 6:10 P.M. an officer made contact with a vehicle on Coshocton Ave. and Greer St. The vehicle was found to contain marijuana drug paraphernalia. The paraphernalia was seized. No charges were filed.
  • Jan. 5 – An officer responded to a Coshocton Ave. business is response to a shoplifting complaint. When the officer arrived at the scene he made contact with the business’ loss control employee and the male shoplifter identified as Jeffrey Petrey. Petrey was found to have an active warrant for failure to appear and was arrested. He was also found to have store merchandise in his possession. He had passed the last point of sale without paying for that merchandise. Petrey was issued a summons for the theft and for criminal trespassing.
  • Jan. 5 – An officer was dispatched to Upper Gilchrist Rd. in reference to found property. The complainant advised he had found a wallet in the parking lot. Contact was made with the wallet’s owner who advised they were unable to pick it up at the time. The property owner was advised the wallet would be placed into evidence for safekeeping.
  • Jan. 6 – An officer was dispatched to a Coshocton Ave. business on a reported fraud. Upon arrival the officer spoke to the complainant who stated she purchased gift cards and gave the numbers over the phone. Complainant made a written statement and a report was taken. Nothing further to report.
  • Jan. 7 – An officer responded to a Shirley Ave. residence in reference to a burglary. The complainant stated that sometime between 1/6/18 at 10:00 P.M. and 1/7/18 at 3:30 P.M. an unknown person entered his apartment and stole several items including a pink and white ceramic water pitcher, a Lebron James T-shirt and jersey and stainless steel silverware. The complainant was unsure how the suspect accessed the apartment but found his rear sliding door ajar when he returned home. The complainant was sure the residence was secured when he left, but believed a former roommate might still have a key.

Arrests and Citations

  • Jan. 4 – Brandy Blanchard, 39, Centerburg,was cited for no child restraints and failure to control/weaving.
  • Jan. 4 -Aaron Conkle, 30, Cottage St. was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
  • Jan. 5 – Frederick Murphy,49, N. mulberry st. was cited for fictitious license plates.
  • Jan. 5 – Tara Tomlin, 28, E. Chestnut St. was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
  • Jan. 5– Terra Ellis, 45, Upper Gilchrist Rd. was cited for driving under suspension/revocation.
  • Jan. 5 – Jeffrey Petrey, 44, Newark, was arrested and charged with theft and criminal trespassing.
  • Jan. 7 -David Vanderbrake, 29, Fredericktown, was arrested on an outstanding warrant and also charged with falsification, obstructing official business and possessing drug abuse instruments.
