Crash Report
- Dec. 5 – Erica Lee Bowles was traveling westbound on Beech St. and Ryan B. Benson was headed in the same direction behind Bowles. Bowles stopped for a vehicle in front of her and was struck in the rear by Benson. Benson said her knee was sore from it hitting the dashboard but declined medical treatment. She was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead.
Incident Report
- Dec. 5 – At approximately 6:23 A.M., an officer responded to the area of Holmes Tire on a report of a vehicle damaged by a large hole on E. Gambier St. near Liberty St. Upon arrival the officer spoke with the car’s driver who said she struck a large pothole with her right front tire. She said she believed it bent the rim causing her tire to lose air. The officer was advised by dispatch that prior to this call a Knox County Sheriff’s Deputy requested traffic cones be placed in the area because of roadwork being done. The Deputy stated at that time there was a large unmarked pothole., Dispatch advised that the city street department was placing cones in the area near the roadwork.
Arrests and Citations
- Dec. 4 – Tiffany Fulton, 35, Clearview Dr. was arrested on an outstanding warrant and charged with drug paraphernalia offenses and possession of drug abuse instruments.
- Dec. 4 – Ashley Ferrell, 31, Prospect St. was arrested on a warrant for probation violation.
- Dec. 4 – Meghan Meadows, 24, W. Gambier St. was arrested and charged with theft.
- Dec. 5 – Andre Thomas, 32, S. McKenzie St. was arrested and charged with obstruction of official business.
- Dec. 5 – Ryan Benson, 23, Upper Fredericktown Rd. was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead.
