MOUNT VERNON — The Knox County Grand Jury indicted 15 people on felonies earlier this week, including two men who were arrested on child pornography charges in November.
Thirty-six-year-old Jeremy Fields and 33-year-old Robert Upchurch were indicted on second-degree pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor, second-degree illegal use of minor in nudity-oriented material, fourth-degree pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor, and fifth-degree illegal use of minor in nudity-oriented material.
Fields and Upchurch were arrested by deputies from the Knox County Sheriff’s Office on Nov. 27 after two separate investigations were initiated by Detective Dan Bobo. The detective received information that the men were downloading and sharing child pornography. The Franklin County Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force assisted the Sheriff’s Office in processing the computer files while detectives from the Mount Vernon Police Department assisted with the search warrant.
The other 13 people indicted were:
- Dean Barnett, Jr. – aggravated possession of drugs (F5), possessing drug abuse instruments (M2)
- Quinton Blair – aggravated possession of drugs (F5), illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia (M4)
- Christopher Creech – aggravated possession of drugs (F5)
- Jereme Erwin – aggravated possession of drugs (F5)
- Michael Hinkens II – possession of heroin (F5), aggravated possession of drugs (F5)
- Teresa Marks – aggravated possession of drugs (F5)
- Isaiah McPeak – aggravated burglary (F1), robbery (F2), two counts of petty theft (M1)
- Shawna Posey – receiving stolen property (F5)
- Aaron Riley – aggravated possession of drugs (F5)
- Anthony Stepp – domestic violence (F4)
- Crystal Stewart – aggravated possession of drugs (F5)
- Anthony Wicks – possession of marijuana (F5), trafficking in marijuana (F4)
- Jonathan Wyatt – failure to provide change of address (F2)
